BETH FLEENOR WITH JHEREK BISCHOFF ORCHESTRA THIS WEEK

“Called a “pop polymath” (The New York Times), a “Seattle phenom” (The New Yorker), and “the missing link between the sombre undertones of Ennio Morricone and the unpredictability of John Cale” (NME), Jherek Bischoff is equal parts composer, producer, performer, and film-scoring professional. In his thirty odd years, he has played in numerous bands and musical configurations, including Parenthetical Girls, Xiu Xiu, The Degenerate Art Ensemble, The Dead Science, Amanda “Fucking” Palmer, and the Wordless Music Orchestra. His recent album, Composed (Brassland, 2012), is a meticulously arranged, multi-track album of nine orchestral pieces featuring guest vocalists such as David Byrne, Caetano Veloso, Mirah, Craig Wedren, Zac Pennington, and more.”

Featuring Beth Fleenor (clarinet) and other Frank Agency artists, the Jherek Bischoff Orchestra will be featured at the Moore Theater, December 1, and in open rehearsals as part of the Mw: Moment Magnitude exhibit at the Frye Art Museum.
