Wayne Horvitz’s newest recording, 55: Music and Dance in Concrete is now available.
The release is on vinyl LP, and included with each LP is a certificate good for a digital download of the LP tracks, plus extra music.
55: Music and Dance in Concrete is an electronic music score from the sound, music and dance installation of the same name. All the sound sources were recorded in the bunkers and cistern at Fort Worden in Port Townsend, Washington and then manipulated by Wayne over the course of several months. The record features Beth Fleenor, Briggan Krauss, Eyvind Kang, Kate Olson, and Naomi Seigel among other greats, recorded by Tucker Martine.
